National Dental Centre Singapore (NDCS) provides multidisciplinary specialist care for complex dental conditions. Our services encompass oral and maxillofacial surgery, orthodontics, prosthodontics, endodontics, periodontics, and paediatric dentistry.
NDCS trains dental specialists, radiographers, oral hygiene therapists, dental technicians and dental surgery assistants in collaboration with local tertiary education institutions. We also provide continuing dental education for dentists and dental specialists alike.
Our research programme focuses on translational research to improve patients’ lives in four areas – clinical tissue engineering, oral devices and therapeutics, oral health and general health, and oral health and ageing. Our clinician-scientists and clinician-innovators have made many discoveries and developed new solutions that improve understanding of oral health, and enhance the practice of dentistry.
We are also actively involved in community outreach and work with partners to conduct oral health screening activities in neighbourhoods across Singapore. These sessions raise awareness of good oral health among screening participants and enable detection and referral of dental conditions that need treatment.
