As the situation with COVID-19 continues to evolve, how could we minimise its impact on Singapore health system’s outcomes?
At our next Research Grand Rounds on 19 Jan 2022, Prof Marcus Ong will share about the COVID-19 Virtual Disease Health System Outbreak Model for Singapore (CoViD-SOS) and novel modelling methods leading to measured policy responses. Led by researchers from Duke-NUS Programme in HSSR and SingHealth HSRC, the CoViD-SOS project uses sophisticated simulation modelling and analyses to inform current and future policy decisions in optimising resource allocation, and reducing local and global business interruptions.
Prof Marcus Ong is Senior Consultant and Clinician Scientist, Department of Emergency Medicine, Singapore General Hospital; and Director for Duke-NUS Programme in Health Services & Systems Research (HSSR), SingHealth Health Services Research Centre (HSRC) and SingHealth Duke-NUS Health Services Research Institute (HSRI). He is a leading researcher in Health Services Research and use of Data Science in Healthcare, and he has patented inventions using Heart Rate Variability for risk prediction of acutely ill patients and cooling solutions for therapeutic hypothermia.
Moderating our panel discussion is Prof Nicholas Graves, Deputy Director, Duke-NUS Programme in HSSR, and SingHealth Duke-NUS HSRI.
