Dr Nattharee achieved her PhD for Medical Science from Radboud University Nijmegen, The Netherlands in 2014. As a clinician scientist at NDCS, she aims to pursue translational research and forge close links between the medical, scientific and medical device manufacturing communities. The research work she does will both advance dental research and facilitate translation of basic knowledge to the clinic.
She has received awards/patents as listed below:
Research focus areas
Dr Nattharee has a passion for medical technology and believes in the importance of translational research to help improve the quality of patients’ lives. Her extensive clinical experience allows her to understand the clinical problem and anticipate patient requirements right from the start of the research work. Her research experience has trained her to be proficient in experimental planning and she keeps abreast of tissue engineering advances in the field. Together, Dr Nattharee’s combined clinical and research skill-sets position her strategically in the design of research work from bench to bedside. Dr Nattharee’s long term goal is to develop a new therapeutic approach that can facilitate bone regeneration, particularly for use in the oral and maxillofacial regions in patients. Currently, she works on a variety of different research projects and collaborates closely with researchers from the local institutions.
