Department of Orthodontics

The treatment aims of the Department of Orthodontics are to improve occlusion and facial aesthetics and to correct crooked teeth. The Department handles the full range of malocclusions and oral-facial deformities.

The Department makes up an important part of the Centre's Oro-facial Deformity Management team. It also collaborates closely with other medical and dental specialists in the team, managing patients with jaw problems, cleft lip and palate, sleep apnoea etc.

Latest 3D simulation is used for surgical planning of complex cases.

Orthodontic treatments are done with fixed appliances (metal, ceramics), removable appliances including clear aligners. Growth modification and changes of oral function in young patients are cone with specialised appliances.
