Profile

Dr Elaine Tan is a Senior Consultant and Head of the Department of Orthodontics at National Dental Centre of Singapore.

She graduated from National University of Singapore Orthodontics residency program in conjunction with the Diploma of Membership in Orthodontics (Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh) in 2011 and was awarded best international candidate for the MOrth exams. Dr Tan subsequently completed one year Certificate of Competency in Cleft and Craniofacial Orthodontics accredited by Academic Centre for Oral Healthcare at the National Dental Centre of Singapore.

She was also awarded the prestigious Singhealth HMDP fellowship award and went to Taipei Chang Gung Memorial hospital to do a fellowship in Cleft and Craniofacial Orthodontics. Dr Tan is also a clinical lecturer with NUS and adjunct lecturer with Duke-NUS. She teaches orthodontic residents from the Faculty of Dentistry, National University of Singapore. Dr Tan enjoys spending time with her two children, travelling and swimming during her free time.
