Bangkok Workshop, 23-24 March 2023
Aims: (i) to estimate the total effect of breastfeeding (BF) on Early Childhood Caries (ECC) by assessing the natural direct effect (NDE), as well as the natural indirect effect (NIE) mediated by early sugar intake, (ii) to build a scale that determines the period from which BF exposure shifts from protection to risk for early childhood caries, and (iii) to assess whether exposure to fluoride can attenuate the effect of prolonged BF on ECC.
