Rather than replicating what leading dental research universities already do, we have developed specialized capabilities in precision tools, implementation evidence, and value-based evaluation. Under RIE2030, we are deepening this integration across our five research themes, positioning NDCS as a leader in translating dental research into measurable clinical and population health outcomes.

Accelerating Research Through Integrated Infrastructure

In November 2027, NDCS will move into purpose-built co-located clinical and research premises that will transform how we conduct clinical trials. This new facility consolidates clinical trial operations, laboratory capabilities, and digital dentistry development on a single site—creating an academic medical centre model similar to world-class institutions. This integrated environment will enable seamless collaboration between clinicians and researchers, accelerating the pace of discovery and implementation.

Streamlined Operations for Faster Study Delivery

Our centralized administration functions as an agile operational enabler rather than a traditional back-office. By providing unified programme tracking, financial management, procurement, and centralized contract and regulatory coordination, we drastically compress study start-up times for complex clinical trials, multiomics data linkages, and industry agreements. Standardized templates and central data-governance trackers eliminate friction from cross-institutional collaborations and ensure efficient deployment of shared resources, allowing our research teams to focus on what matters most—advancing dental science and improving patient care.
