Dr Mi Du is a Research Fellow at the National Dental Centre Singapore (NDCS) and a trained periodontist with a multidisciplinary background in dentistry, population oral health, biostatistics, and epidemiology. Dr. Du earned her PhD from the University of Adelaide, Australia, and previously served as Associate Professor at Shandong University, alongside clinical practice at Shandong Provincial Stomatology Hospital.
Dr Du’s research focuses on oral–systemic health, with a particular interest in risk prediction modelling for periodontal diseases and their associations with non-communicable conditions. Dr. Du has published over 30 peer-reviewed articles in leading journals, including the Journal of Dental Research and the Journal of Clinical Periodontology, and has an H-index of 22. Dr. Du serves on the Junior Editorial Board of the Journal of Periodontal Research and is actively involved in Global Burden of Disease (GBD) study. She also brings extensive experience in teaching, student supervision, and curriculum development in dentistry.
