Profile

Dr Saigo graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry, National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 2009 and began his career as a dental officer in the National Healthcare Group Polyclinics and National Dental Centre Singapore. 

He went on to train in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the National University of Singapore and graduated with a Master of Dental Surgery in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2014. He was subsequently accredited in the specialty of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2016. 

Dr Saigo is currently Head of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, National Dental Centre Singapore. His clinical expertise includes dento-alveolar surgery (impacted wisdom teeth), dental implant surgery, orthognathic surgery (jaw alignment surgery), oral surgical pathology (oral cysts and tumours) and cranio-maxillofacial trauma surgery (jaw fractures). He also has a keen research interest in dental implants and bone bio-engineering. Dr Saigo has an academic appointment as a Clinical Lecturer at the Faculty of Dentistry, National University of Singapore.
