Profile

Adj Asst Prof Kinjal Mehta is a Senior Consultant & Director of Foot and Ankle Surgery with Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, Changi General Hospital (CGH). Under Dr Kinjal Mehta, the service has been brought to greater heights and multiple initiatives and collaborations to improve the service have been implemented. Multidisciplinary care is undertaken to ensure optimal outcomes for patients.

Dr Kinjal Mehta graduated from National University of Singapore and did her Orthopaedic Surgery training in Singapore. Dr Kinjal underwent Foot and Ankle fellowship training in Canada under Dr Mark Glazebrook in 2015.

Dr Kinjal is Deputy Vice Chair (Research) of Musculoskeletal Academic Clinical Programme. She works with other key stakeholders to improve research avenues within SingHealth cluster. She is passionate about research and attends conferences on a regular basis to present her research. She has been invited as faculty in local and regional workshops, conferences and webinars.

Dr Kinjal is active in teaching medical students from various medical schools in Singapore. She is part of core faculty for Orthopaedic residency teaching. She organises foot and ankle cadaveric course regularly to enhance the learning and surgical skills of junior doctors. Due to her commitment to education, Dr Kinjal won the Changi General Hospital Best Educator Award 2022 – the Guru.
